Augmentation of Sewage Pump Station BB03

Client: Eurobodalla Shire Council

Date/Duration: Completed April 2022

Contract Value: $2 million

Description: The conversion of a dry well station to a wet well and refurbish the structural concrete, upgrade to three phase pumps and install new pipework. The works were completed under trying conditions with the location in a gully near a watercourse and with site constraints including groundwater @ 1m in unconfined sand, almost no access for stockpiling of wet material and work at 9m in depth in a confined space to construct the new SPS tank, pouring almost 150m3 of structural concrete into the new sewage pump station.


Adaminaby Sewage Treatment Plant Upgrade

Client: Snowy Monaro Regional Council

Date/Duration: Commenced June 2021

Contract Value: $11 million

Description: The upgrade of the Adaminaby Sewage Treatment Plant facility including:

  • demolition of existing redundant infrastructure
  • upgrade of access road
  • siteworks including bulk earthworks, compaction, internal roadworks, water and upgraded power supply, drainage
  • New inlet works
  • Two SBR reactors and foul water recycling
  • an inline UV disinfection system housed in new building
  • a reclaimed effluent system
  • a discharge pipeline and structure
  • two sludge lagoons in duty/duty configuration
  • a foul water pump station consisting of a wet well

  • all pipework associated with the new plant

Horseshoe Bay beach sand removal – Bermagui

Description: This project involved the removal and transport of 7,000m3 of sand from Horseshoe Bay in Bermagui.


 Jindabyne National Snowsports Training Centre – Air Bag Facility

Client: Office of Sport

Date/Duration: November 2020 – January 2022

Contract Value: $3.5 million

Description: This project involved the construction of a world class Airbag Training Facility for snow sport athletes to practice aerial manoeuvres in a safe and controlled environment by landing on a cushioned airbag. Construction of the facilities included:

  • Clearing and demolition
  • Bulk and detailed earthworks
  • Construction of concrete paths and stairs
  • Installation of dry snow
  • Installation of landing bag
  • Retaining wall structures
  • Hydraulic services
  • Electrical services
  • Stormwater

Description: Following the 2019/20 bushfires RDM was involved in assisting BVSC in the clean up and removal of asbestos from fire affected material at the Central Waste Facility.


Bombala Sewage Treatment Plant Augmentation and Upgrade

Client: Snowy Monaro Regional Council

Date/Duration: November 2019 – March 2022

Contract Value: $12.5 million

Description: The existing Bombala STP was constructed in 1969 as a trickling filter plant with a nominal capacity of 1,900 EP.

The upgrade works will involve a completely new treatment system making the old treatment plant redundant once the new works have been commissioned.

RDM is responsible for the construction of the new plant including bulk and detailed earthworks, concrete works, water and sewer pipework, kerb and gutter, roadways, pre-commissioning and all assistance in the commissioning, decommissioning and demolition of the old redundant plant infrastructure


Essential Energy Bega Depot Upgrade

Surf Beach Waste Management Facility

Description: The project includes bulk and detailed excavation of the cell including leachate and sediment dams.  It involves removing 300,000T of gravel and installation of 21,000m2 of 2mm HDPE liner.
