Description: This facility provides the ESC with additional waste disposal capacity for the next 5 to 7 years. The works involved the excavation, shaping and lining of the large landfill cell , a lined leachate storage pond, a stormwater retention pond and all associated pipework. The works included fencing, landscaping and shaping of the site to obtain a high standard of finish. The works were completed with no significant reportable safety incidents, no lost LTIs, and no environmental incidents. The quality of the work was high, especially in relation to the liner installation, which meets strict EPA guidelines.
